After Barack Obama's historic win in the US presidential elections has created a sensation all around the world, the cyber criminals got a great chance to spread malware in the form of his campaigning.

According to the reports released by Web, data and email security Web sense, cyber criminals are looking forward to capitalize on the results of US presidential election with a huge malicious email campaign program.

There are reports that huge number of malicious emails are being sent throughout the world directing the people to click on a link in order to watch a video which shows an interview with the advisors to the U.S President elect Barack Obama or view a part of his acceptance speech.

Cyber criminals are also publishing names such as Time Magazine and La Republica (Peru) in the email subject line which motivates the users to click on the links. They are using different variations for the email attack.

It is said that the file is Trojan horse downloader which steals information and may infect the computer. Security firm Sunbelt software said that the same Obama spam comes with different subject lines, another email comes with the links to video that installs the file BarackObama.exe which is attached to it.

The U.S election has been closely watched by millions of people all around the world making it a perfect one for the cyber criminals who are looking to steal information from unsuspecting victims. The report even stated that they have noticed many variations of this attack and the number of emails is increasing drastically in an hour.
