Is Wifi Protected Setup WPS secure?

WPS is vulnerable to attack and can allow compromise of the whole router.

It is recommended to disable WPS in routers.

There are many routers vulnerable and coming with WPS enabled off the factory in the default configuration.

If an attacker attacks the WPS and get the PIN they will also get the WPA, WPA2 pass phrases.
