What are the differences between scanning a website URL and a website IP?

You can scan both an IP address and the URL.

 

The difference is that 1 IP address can easily host many web domains.

So you can have 50 web sites hosted on 1 IP.

So when you scan you simple put in the website and the Penetrator can scan it individually easily.

This is being done via the Virtual Host Module.
