Update for OS X released by Apple

Patches for the two latest Macintosh operating systems, namely the MacOS 10.5 and MacOS 10.6, were distributed by the leading company Apple.
Improvement of security as a main concern
Just recently, Apple delivered its latest security updates for their operating systems. The purpose of these patches is to remedy the security vulnerabilities found in their two operating systems: Leopard (MacOS 10.5) and the Snow Leopard (MacOS 10.6). The fresh updates by Apple are also intended for the improvement of the system’s performance and stability of Snow Leopard.
Fix for compatibility concerns were regarded
Issues on compatibilities on various software applications were also taken into consideration. Apple’s 10.6.3 update was designed in such a way that it will fix the concern regarding the operating system’s compatibility with components including the QuickTime, Open GL, and DNS. Other intentions on the release of this patch are to perk up the stability of USB drive compatibility and the printing consistency with the Apple operating systems.
There is also more to the patch designated for the operating system Snow Leopard (MacOS 10.6). This is also released for the purpose of advancing the performance of the following applications: LogicPro 9, Bonjour, iMovie, and iChat.
Update for a variety of detected vulnerabilities
Quite a large number of vulnerabilities in the components of Apple’s latest operating systems were detected. The latest security update was formulated in order to remedy about 69 vulnerabilities found in the software applications in relation with Leopard and Snow Leopard. These are all included in the 10.6.3 update set for Snow Leopard. On the other hand, there is a separate security update that can be downloaded by the users of Leopard operating system. The update also includes the remedy for the nine vulnerabilities found in QuickTime and four were aimed at the defects detected in ImageIO.
Few faults remain unfixed
Charlie Miller, a participant in the CanSecWest Pwn2Own competition held last week, exposed a flaw in the safety of Safari. However, Apple still did not have an announcement when they will get this threat fixed.
But then, Apple gave recognition to the known and anonymous researchers who were able to find vulnerabilities in the update during the competitions conducted by TippingPoint.
