Every product has its end and Mozilla revealed that the version 3.0 of the open source Firefox web browser will no longer be distributed by the company. Hence, the web browser will become obsolete and it will achieve its end-of-life (EOL) state, one of these coming days.

Web browser on the verge of ultimate service

Stated on the weekly meeting notes of the developers of Mozilla, updates will no longer be available for the Mozilla Firefox 3.0.x. Moreover, version 3.0.19 will also be the final update of Mozilla for this web browser and nothing will follow after that. This patch will be Mozilla’s last security and stability upgrade in relation to the 3.0.x edition.

Discontinuing the production and updates for this version of the web browser was supposed to be implemented earlier this year in the month of January. And, the only grounds that prolonged Mozilla Firefox 3.0 were the constant setbacks when it came to the release of the browser’s latest update 3.6. Thus, the life of this soon-to-be outdated version lengthened quite a bit.

Version 3.0 considered as a wonderful piece-of-art

In June 2008, Mozilla was able to produce a web browser, which contained quite a lot of excellent features and advantages. This version possessed the upgraded model of Gecko rendering engine and it also had a top-caliber security.

Aside from the given advancements incorporated in this Firefox 3.0, the newly-added interface enhancements were also considered to be praise-worthy. Firefox 3.0 was commended for its compatibility with the Mac OS X and the browsers bookmark and download managers were renewed for a greater potential as well.

Final day is quickly approaching

As of the present, Mozilla is already in the process of creating and finalizing updates (3.5.9 and 3.6.2), which are attuned with their 3.5x and 3.6 web browsers. And, this shows that Mozilla is actually missing out on the patch for version 3.6.1.

The company plans to release the most recent patches 3.0.10, 3.5.9, and 3.6.2 on March 30 this year. This will be made possible only if there would be no hindrances coming during the middle of the process.
