| Google Chrome is up for new tricks |
Google Chrome roused the attention of the online community once again and sparked the already intrigued thoughts of the internet enthusiasts with its unique IDs, which is a feature of the latest version 4.1. The User Data\Local State file is located in the Google Chrome installation folder (C:\User\[Name]\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome) and this also holds the up-to-date feature named as user_experience_metrics.user_id.
Protect users with Google security updates
Google made another successful breakthrough with the use of its security upgrade regarding the highly regarded means of data protection. According to Google’s statement, the available token in the installation folder will also disappear upon starting the Google Chrome updates and patches.
ID as a system reporter of Google
Google already announced the purpose of the ID found in the up-to-the-minute Google Chrome version 4.1. By definition, the anonymous ID will function by reporting any complete installation of updates to Google.
Trial that may be proven beneficial
It may be considered as Google Chrome’s greatest leap since this is its first time in creating a one-of-a-kind security update. Based on Chrome, the client ID will be used to recognize the users of internet browser and this ID will also change upon every upgrades.
Disapproval arises in every spectator
It cannot be helped that critiques will find fault over this brand new attempt of Chrome for a tighter security. Network sniffers were used in order to scrutinize the privacy statement of Google. However, the efforts of denying its sole purpose of checking for new patches and its function as crash reporter were all proven to be useless. From time to time, nasty topics become evident and are all pointed towards the Chrome update.
There is a room for improvement
The update may appear to be very essential when considering today’s online issues. However, there are more problems arising from the data protection and it may be explained using the analogy between typing through the address bar and what will come out in the results using the search engine.
The anonymous client ID can be disabled and another web browser like the Yahoo! may also be used in the process. Nonetheless, Google is still doing its best to give the finest service by studying conditions such as the redirection of 404 pages to the search engine and the protection against malware and phishing.
