| Intensified security for the smaller industries from Symantec |
Stronger security is now being presented by the popular security firm Symantec to the small to medium-sized business (SMB) groups. This is to safeguard their systems from any dangers coming from either within or outside the network. This is just part of the company’s offerings of features for stability of the business and also the more developed manageability.
Exceptional product with unique features
According to the security company, their newest product Symantec Protection Suite Advanced Business Edition will be released in summer this year. This will function in such a way that it can defend the systems and offer protection in messaging. In addition, this product is also designed in such a way that it can avoid the occurrence of data loss with the use of a content filter incorporated at the mail gateway.
The Symantec suite will appear in an on-premise edition of the product. This will also possess add-on software-as-a-service functions designed for the hosted e-mail. It will also provide web security directly from the Symantec Hosted services.
Security product well-packed for the clients’ benefit
The security firm added that the cloud-based Symantec Global Intelligence Network will be the one responsible in supplying the synchronized security intelligence. And, it is designated to offer the business groups early cautions on the presence of danger. It will also deliver automatic back-ups so as to prevent zero-day threats from endangering the systems of the clients.
Another unique function possessed by this suite is its capacity to perform back-up and recovery. It was created in this manner so as to assist the small to medium-sized business groups in promptly recovering files, folders, or even the whole Windows systems when system failure arises.
The single suite contains all the three features: back-up, recovery, and security function. This lessens the expenses of possession and it also lightens the responsibilities assigned to the IT team of an SMB.
Unsecured systems are the favorite targets of criminals
As cautioned by the senior vice-president of the Enterprise Security Group of Symantec, Francis deSouza, the target of the online crooks today is the small to medium-sized business entities. This is because of the idea that the said companies do not have full security from the many threats in the web.
