Innovative privacy page for Buzz to be released

There had been an extensive problem regarding the security of Google’s social networking service, Buzz. It had become a touchy subject because there were many complaints regarding violation of the users’ privacy. And, as of the latest, the web giant will release a new confirmation page in order to address the security issues.
New service that comes unpolished
Buzz was the latest component of Gmail that was released early in February. This is a service, which is designed in a way that the Google users may post up-to-the-minute updates, upload photos, and share other forms of data with the rest of the users.
The web giant, however, was flooded with complaints from their users with regards to this application’s privacy. Users believed that Google did not take into account their consent and just instantly made them follow other users.
Every problem must be resolved
In compensation to this incident, Google made a slight modification on their privacy settings. The company did the same thing few days after so as to deal with the widespread issue.
Various alterations were done on this Google-hosted social networking service. The function of auto-follow was eliminated since this was the major concern of the users. Substituted to the auto-follow utility was the appearance of a list of contacts that the users can choose from to follow.
New solution remedies problems or not
Users may also choose to disregard this new social networking service being introduced by Google. In the Gmail settings, users can find a “Buzz” tab wherein they can select either to hide the service or to disable it permanently.
There is a problem with this newly-added function since only the new users are capable of utilizing it. On the other hand, the individuals who availed of Buzz at an earlier time will not be able to use the said utility. The web giant is now finding a way in order to fight this new issue.
Starting today, Google will offer to all of its users the latest solution: a confirmation page. The confirmation page will let the users select their preferred setting. They may also choose among all the users whom they desire to follow and who will follow them. Also, they can choose whether to keep their list private or not.
