New Anti-Phishing Security Appliance from SecPoint®
SecPoint® released a new Anti-Phishing Security Appliance, Protector P500. ”The Protectoren” protects against Phishing attacks and furthermore against Spyware, Spam, Virus, Worms and other undesired traffic on the network.
All the security modules can be customized/configures and are automatically updated multiple times a day that guaranties an optimal security level. The different security modules can be enable / disabled independently after the users choice. The target audience is from smaller customers with 5-50 users, mid-size customers with 51-500 users and up to larger customer with more than 1000 users.
Anti-Phishing module warns the users in realtime
”The Protector” contains black lists that recognizes and blocks fake Phishing sites. When a Phishing email arrives with fake links, “The Protector” warns the user in red about the danger of clicking on the link.
Anti-Spyware module blocks Spyware from already infected systems
Spyware is being blocked from entering the network by The Spyware Module, that also stops outgoing Spyware traffic from already infected systems.
Anti-Spam module uses newest technology to catch Spam
The Anti-Spam module uses black lists and an advanced pointing system to verify Spam. The administrator has many configuration possibilities such as: accepted file types, quarantine mails, spam point level, Phishing options, E-Mail white/black lists. Individual users can login separately and browse their quarantine after their own request.
Intrusion Prevention blocks more than 8000 ”unique attacks”
The Intrusion Prevention module blocks with its intelligent database more than 8000 unique attacks. This also includes worm attacks and to guarantee an optimal security level the databases are updated several times daily.
The Protector is easy to install on the network. There is no required re-configuration of other equipment at the customer site and it installs quickly via the ”quick-wizard” setup.
