SecPoint® releases a new Web Content Filtering Proxy

Today, SecPoint announces the release of a new Web Content Filtering Proxy.

The global provider of award-winning Unified Threat Management & Penetration testing network appliances, SecPoint introduces a new Web Filtering Proxy for its existing Protector that provides full control and capability of blocking more than 54 categories such as pornography, news sites, sport sites, free e-mail providers and many others.

Easy-to-use

The Web Filtering Proxy can be used without having to re-configure the network or change client settings.

It is powered by a large database consisting of several millions of black lists and thousands of new black lists are being added on a daily basis.

An advanced pattern recognition that identifies dangerous sites even though they are not in the database has been added. The Web Filtering Proxy has cacheing functionality that allows for faster web browsing.

Upgrade existing products

“All existing customers with a valid update license can upgrade to the new 3.1 version of the Protector and have full advantage of all new features,” explains SecPoint's managing director, Victor Christiansenn, from his head office in Denmark.

Victor Christiansenn continues:  “We, at SecPoint provide solutions with Investment Protection so the new features are free for all customers with valid licenses. In many cases, it is required to pay an extra fee to enable web filtering or to buy a new hardware but not with SecPoint.”
