What is CISSP?

There is always this crucial need for people who are educated about securing computer networks since online attacks have become more prevalent than ever.

However, it is not enough for one to just be skilled about the work he or she is doing.

One should also have a solid proof, a certification of some sort, just to verify that he or she is capable of handling the job of strengthening the defense of a system.

The required award is called the Certified Information Systems Security Professional or CISSP and this is administered by the non-profit institution, International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)². CISSP is offered to the individuals who have effectively finished an examination that focuses on computer security.

CISSP is considered to be as the primary official document when having status as an information security.

It is an examination that is accredited by two popular organizations on IT security and these are the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and ANSI (American National Standards Institute).

The organization created this examination so as to guarantee that the individuals have comprehensive knowledge on managing computer security for companies and non-business-related clients.

According to (ISC) ², the exam is designed for professionals who have about a minimum of 3-5 years of experience.

Also, the examination runs for six hours and it contains 250 questions in total.
