Wifi USB Antenna Guide

The Following USB antennas are supported with the Portable Penetrator:

Alfa AWUS036H wide range 2.4 GHz - 500 mW

Alfa AWUS036H wide range 2.4 GHz - 1000 mW

Alfa AWUS036H wide range 2.4 GHz - 2000 mW
Alfa AUS050NH wide range 2.4 GHz & 5.8 GHz
Alfa AUS051NH wide range 2.4 GHz & 5.8 GHz

We tested both units in our office.

We ran the usb antenna for 20 minutes in the same location:

AWUS050NH after scanning for 20 minutes it discovered: 62 Networks
AWUS051NH after scanning for 20 minutes it discovered: 64 Networks
AWUS036H after scanning for 20 minutes it discovered: 80 Networks

The number of networks identified are subject to location where tests are performed.

Which USB Antenna must I use?
If you need to crack a 2.4 GHz network it is recommended to use the AWUS036H.
To crack a 5.8 GHz network it is recommended to use the AWUS051NH

Overall for the best performance we recommend the AWUS036H
