Hackers got access to celebrities Twitter info
A fairly up-to-date attack on the popular microblogging website Twiiter is supposedly done by a French.
The hacker introduced himself/herself with the alias 'Hacker Croll'. To given substance to his/her hacking success claim, "Hacker Croll" posted several screenshots of his/her unauthorized access to Twitter's administrative controls. He/she did it by breaking into the website's very own director of product management's account.
Always use a standalone password for social media due to hacking risk
Always use different password keys for different social media. When a specific social media gets compromised and they gain access to your password you are not at risk of getting other accounts hacked.
Twitter acknowledged that there was a security breach on the website, but did not establish the truth of Hacker Croll's claims.
While no data was altered, the personal information of a minimum of 10 Twitter profiles may have been inspected by the hacker. The accounts of celebrities Ashton Kutcher and Lily Allen are among these, according to Twitter founder Biz Stone.
Stone reported that based on their initial security reviews and investigations, "no account information was altered or removed in any way. However, we discovered that 10 individual accounts were viewed during this unauthorised access".
Twitter reacts fast hacking attack
He added that for their security, Twitter has contacted the users whose accounts are most likely jeopardized.
This incident is the most recent among the problems of Twitter. The website has been abused by spammers in the last couple of weeks.
