| Online safety: major topic of government conference |
A conference will be held on Tuesday at Texas and the talk will revolve around the topic of remedying worldwide problems on online security. Members of various groups including the government officials and business associates will attend this scheduled conference. This is probably the initial step in uniting the different ranks within the population in order to organize the group especially in fighting the threats together.
Joint force in fighting web crimes
The conference, East West Institute (EWI) Worldwide Cybersecurity summit, will run for three days. This convention aims to specify the ways on how the different agencies can fight the web attackers and keep the global online community secured at all times. The people who should keep online browsing safe are the managers of both the private and public organizations.
It is the fact that online attacks can lead to exploitation of private data and even the financial information may be put at risk. Also, the official websites may also crash down when a criminal gains entry into a system. In this conference, the members will attempt to come up with a plan, which can help in dealing with the alarm that is caused by the recent attacks. According to the reports, individuals are in the midst of panic due to the fear that the financial systems and other government services may be paralyzed by these unwanted attacks.
Influential people will help in avoiding dangers
Based on the written plan, about 400 hundred people will attend and these include the business leaders, the technical specialists, and even the national security authorities. The people who will give their speech in the Summit are the following: Howard Schmidt, the special assistant and cypersecurity coordinator and James Jones, national security advisor who both work under US President Barack Obama.
Udo Helmbrecht, the director of the European Network and Information Security Agency, will also be there at the conference to share his points of view. Other people who belong in the list of speakers are: Kamlesh Bajaj, chief executive of Data Security Council of India; Francis Delon, the secretary general of France National Defense; Yasuo Sakamoto, secretary of Japan National Information Security Cabinet; and, lastly, Liu Zhengrong, the director of China Internet Affairs Bureau.
The individuals who will talk about the method on how the public and private sector will work together in their battle against cybercrimes are: Michael Dell, the chief executive of Dell; Bruce Schneier, BT chief security officer; and Hemanshu Nigam, the chief security officer of MySpace.
