| Latest Opera patch for Microsoft and Apple ready for use |
Opera Software recently distributed the patch that is specific for their web browser that is both compatible with the systems of Microsoft and Apple. According to the company, this patch labeled as 10.53 is designed to fix the security holes that were found in the Mac and Windows-friendly browser.
Holes need immediate patching up
They found certain holes that put both the product and the users of this product at risk. This is the reason why they immediately fabricated a fix patch so as to deal with the security threats considered as the “extremely severe” type of vulnerabilities.
Opera Software found the security threat in the script that is responsible with the management of various document files. This is also a type of vulnerability that can be easily exploited by online crooks.
The online crook may start the exploitation by altering a file to make numerous calls that are directed to the weak component of the web browser. Hence, it will eventually result into the crashing of the application. This will, then, make the affected system more accessible to various online criminals. In addition, the system will be more susceptible to attacks since this allows remote code execution by the other vicious web entities.
Install available updates at once
For a more secured internet browsing, Opera Software suggests that the people who use the MacOS X and Windows editions of the web browsers in their computers must install the patch that was recently released. On the other hand, Opera Software assures the users of the different types of Opera browser, which are not included in the list, that they are safe from attacks. Thus, their browsers and computer systems are not, in any way, vulnerable to the exploitation by hackers.
Opera Software is currently in their search for a wider scope when it comes to web browser industry and the update arrived just in time. Few weeks ago, the web browser company distributed their version of browser that works well on an iPhone. And, in the month of March, they also released the new patched edition of the Opera that operates on the Android smartphone platform.
